Delicious is a social bookmarking website, used to store, access, and share your bookmarks online (allowing you access from any computer, from the cloud). On Delicious, you can use tags (keywords) to organize and remember your bookmarks, which is a much more flexible system than folders. You can also use Delicious to discover interesting and popular links from friends and the community.

3 Ways to Use

Track and share articles of interest - privately, publicly, or collaboratively

Stacks are one of the biggest changes and new features when Delicious did an overhaul of the site in late 2011. Stacks are collections of posts that you can organize by topics.

Find relevant, interesting resources & people/communities

  • Search tags of topics you're interested in (instead of Google), add interesting or useful sites to your collection
  • Create a specific tag for an event or topic to share links. Example: TSDigs tag was used to track and share resources around TechSoup's Digital Storytelling Challenge
  • Share resources around a virtual event like Story10 and Reinvention tags used for GetStoried's Reinvention Summit

  • Tag with any/all relevant tags, not just your organization or personal tags to make yourself more findable
  • Add your website to your profile information so others can find your organization and learn more about your cause
  • Read: Delicious, Web Wanderings, and Serendipity by Marnie Webb (of TechSoup)
